Poe-Etique: An Immersive Experience

Poe-Etique is an immersive theatrical exhibition in Los Angeles, presented at MiViDa and drawn from the literary works of Edgar Allan Poe. It is staged as a series of connected rooms.

Poe-Etique is set at Raven's Manor, a house closed off from a world devastated by plague. What starts as a hope of rescue gradually turns into a feverish sequence of ritual, deception and obsession. The premise is inspired by Poe's haunting writing and its gothic atmosphere of decay and guilt.

Visitors move room to room through forbidden chambers, and in this immersive format they take part in the story rather than only observing it. Inside, a desperate doctor works to finish a volatile cure while aristocrats tormented by guilt and hallucinations come apart. The cast of characters includes cursed lovers, mad scientists and the Red Death, a masked figure.
