Overview

A stand-up comedy show in which queer comedians roast a straight host, presented in Hollywood at Hollywood Improv (The Lab). The lineup is headed by Andrew Stier, Joel Kim Booster and Adam Conover.

Queer Roast for the Straight Host is a stand-up comedy show built around a roast: a series of comedians take turns joking at the expense of a straight host. The lineup named in the title includes Andrew Stier, Joel Kim Booster, Adam Conover, Antonio Rosello, Paige Gallagher, Charlie James, Dylan Guerra and Sophia Sherman, with more performers to be announced.

Adam Conover is an American comedian, writer, voice actor and television host who has been active since 2012, working across comedy, writing, voice work and television. Joel Kim Booster and the other comedians on the bill each bring their own material to the stage, so the evening moves from one performer to the next rather than following a single storyline.

The show takes place at Hollywood Improv (The Lab), a venue in Hollywood that hosts shows. The format centers on stand-up performances aimed at a straight host, with the humor coming from the performers'perspectives as queer comedians.
