The Fab Four: Tribute to the Beatles' A Hard Day's Night

A tribute show devoted to the Beatles' 1964 album and film A Hard Day's Night, performed by The Fab Four at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.

The Fab Four is a tribute act that performs the music of the Beatles, the Liverpool group formed in 1960 whose members were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The Beatles were active until 1970. This program centers on A Hard Day's Night, the band's 1964 album, which took its name from the film released the same year, and on songs from that period such as the title track and "I Should Have Known Better."

This is a tribute, not the Beatles themselves. The show is built around the group's early catalogue, with its tight vocal harmonies and guitar-led arrangements, which defined the British Invasion sound of the mid-1960s. Listeners who know that repertoire will recognize the material from the first records.

The Palace of Fine Arts is a San Francisco venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits fans of the Beatles'1960s recordings who want to hear that catalogue performed live by a tribute group.
