The Jury Experience - The Deadly Boat Ride: Will Miami Deliver Justice?

The Jury Experience is an interactive courtroom drama staged at the Manuel Artime Theater in Miami, where the audience sits as the jury in a case about a fatal speedboat outing.

Staged as a live theater courtroom drama and mystery game, this outing places the audience in the role of jurors. The story begins on a summer night, when the son of a powerful politician drove his family's speedboat carrying a former partner and old friends. Hours later, one passenger had died, another was in a coma, and the driver faces a murder charge. Spectators hear testimonies, examine evidence and weigh each side's arguments before reaching a verdict of guilty or not guilty.

At several key moments the audience votes, and those choices reveal hidden angles of the case, so the route to the verdict can change from one session to the next. The story deals with domestic violence, emotional manipulation and alcohol use, and it includes a distressing emergency services call, so the subject matter may not suit everyone.

The format appeals to visitors and groups of friends who prefer taking part in a story to simply watching it. The venue is fully accessible, with a wheelchair zone available.
