Overview
A New York-based indie rock band returns to Washington to mark 20 years since its debut album, With Love and Squalor, with Sean McVerry as support act at Songbyrd.
We Are Scientists is a New York-based indie rock band built around founding members Keith Murray and Chris Cain. Over more than two decades, the group has delivered sharp, catchy guitar-driven songs while changing its sound from record to record. Its ninth studio album, Qualifying Miles, returns to the raw, stripped-down energy of the guitar rock the members grew up on.
This Washington show celebrates the 20th anniversary of the band's debut album, With Love and Squalor. The group plays that record in full, then follows with its best-known songs. Sean McVerry is the support act. Songbyrd hosts concerts and shows in Washington, and the evening suits listeners who want the first album heard from start to finish alongside the band's hits.
