Unearthed: Raw Beauty

Unearthed: Raw Beauty is a science and nature exhibition whose title points to natural materials taken from the earth and shown for their visual qualities. Its subject sits within the natural sciences, so visitors can expect the works to connect how natural materials look with what they are made of and where they come from.

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is a natural history museum in Los Angeles that hosts exhibitions and cultural events alongside its own programming. Its setting suits visitors interested in geology, earth sciences and the natural world, and families with children may find the subject easy to follow. Contemporary art lovers may also be drawn to the focus on raw form and material.

As with any exhibition, visitors can come whenever they like during the period it is open and move through the works at their own pace. The subject lends itself to looking closely, reading the material as much as the display itself.
