Vampyros Lesbos Screening + Afterparty With Nick Boyd & Benny Sun

A screening of Vampyros Lesbos, the 1971 Jess Franco film with its score by Manfred Hubler and Siggi Loch, followed by an afterparty with DJ sets from Nick Boyd and benny sun. The evening is held at Pianos: Showroom in New York.

Vampyros Lesbos is a Spanish-German horror film directed by Jess Franco, and its soundtrack by Manfred Hubler and Siggi Loch, known as Sigi Loch in some sources, has become a reference point for lounge, psychedelic and electronic music. The film has been reissued and reinterpreted by DJs and producers many times, which is why the night pairs the screening with a club-style afterparty.

Nick Boyd and benny sun are the two artists named for the afterparty. Their electronic music is the context for the evening, and the program places a film screening before the dance portion, so the night suits people interested in cult cinema and in electronic music alike.

Pianos: Showroom is a venue in New York that hosts concerts and shows. The evening is aimed at film fans who want to see the movie on a big screen and then stay for music, and at electronic music listeners who follow the dance side of the Vampyros Lesbos legacy.
