Washington D.C. Murder Mystery: Death in the Shadows

A murder mystery game played across Washington, D.C., in which players investigate the death of Bella Wanderlust with a companion app and a city-wide route. It is hosted at Pinstripes.

Washington D.C. Murder Mystery: Death in the Shadows is a detective game played across the city rather than in a single room. Players take on the role of Washington's top detective looking into the death of Bella Wanderlust. The investigation covers 12 locations around Washington, where clues are gathered and suspects are questioned. The suspects include a jealous boyfriend, a theatrical ghost tour guide and a figure lurking in the shadows.

The game is fully guided by a companion app that leads players through the case and the evidence they uncover. Each ticket covers access for one device, so group play is recommended, with several devices shared among the players. The outing is based at Pinstripes, and the route is not wheelchair accessible.

It suits groups of friends who enjoy puzzles and are happy to move around the city, as well as visitors who want to see parts of Washington while solving a mystery together.
