World Famous Gospel Brunch at House of Blues (CHI)

A brunch show at House of Blues Chicago that pairs gospel choirs and solo vocalists with R&B, soul, funk and reggae.

The World Famous Gospel Brunch is a gospel-centered program whose music spans R&B, soul, funk and reggae. The bill brings together House of Blues Gospel Brunch, Cedric Nunley, the Greater House of Prayer Youth, the Young Adult Choir, and William Smith Jr. & the Renewed Voices for Christ, so the evening moves between youth and adult choral singing and individual vocal performances.

House of Blues Chicago hosts concerts and shows in the city, and this event is presented there as a brunch-format production. The title ties the music to the gospel tradition of church choirs, while the genre points to the soul, funk and reggae styles that sit alongside it.

The show suits listeners who want to hear gospel choirs and soul-based vocals in a brunch setting, and those interested in how church choirs and solo singers perform together on one stage.
