Aftertone is an electronic act performing in Washington, D.C. Electronic music is built on synthesized and programmed sounds and digitally produced rhythms, so a live performance in this style centers on sound design and beats rather than conventional band instruments. Sets in this genre usually move through a continuous flow of tracks rather than separate songs.

The concert takes place at Tigres de la Noche, a Washington venue that hosts concerts and shows. It suits listeners who follow electronic music and want to hear the style performed live, with the rhythmic focus and layered textures that define the genre.

Electronic dance music grew out of club culture, which shapes its emphasis on repetitive, danceable grooves.
