An Evening with Norm Lewis

An evening of classical music with Norm Lewis, the American stage actor and singer with Broadway musical credits, presented at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in Aventura.

Norm Lewis is an American stage actor and singer whose career has been built largely on musical theater, with Broadway credits that include Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera. This evening, titled An Evening with Norm Lewis, falls in the classical category.

Aventura Arts & Cultural Center hosts concerts and shows in Aventura, a city in northern Miami-Dade County, so the venue's programming spans live music and stage performance. The evening suits listeners who follow Broadway performers and classical vocal music, and who want to hear a stage singer's voice in a live setting.

Both Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera are sung-through musicals, with scores that rely almost entirely on sung text rather than spoken dialogue. That background connects Lewis's stage work to the concert program on this evening.
