Bubble Planet

Bubble Planet is an immersive exhibition in Washington, D.C., built around bubbles, virtual reality and themed rooms. It is presented at the Rhode Island Center, an arts venue that hosts exhibitions and cultural events.

Bubble Planet takes visitors through a colorful planet filled with bubbles, arranged as more than ten rooms, each with a different theme. Visitors can touch and play with many kinds of bubbles, move through fantastical landscapes designed to engage the senses, and try a hot air balloon simulator. Optical illusions are part of the display throughout.

Virtual reality is a central element of the exhibition, which combines the latest VR technology with simulation and visual effects. Moving from one immersive space to the next, visitors are encouraged to explore each room with all five senses, so the visit unfolds as a sequence of distinct settings rather than a single display.

The exhibition is open to all ages, making it suitable for a broad audience, from children to adults. A separate birthday room can be reserved for celebrations, with a birthday host assisting the party and soft drinks included in that package. The Rhode Island Center is accessible and ADA compliant.
