Crowd Work Wednesday

A weekly interactive stand-up comedy show in Chicago, where the audience becomes part of the act and a rotating line-up of comedians works on crowd work live.

Crowd Work Wednesday is a weekly comedy show built on crowd work, the improvised exchange between performers and the people in the room. Chicago comedians Pat Bolduc and John Gasper host the evening, and a rotating line-up of stand-up performers takes the stage to sharpen their crowd work skills in real time.

Expect an interactive format rather than a fixed script. Spectators can be drawn into the jokes and the exchanges, so each evening develops differently and the material depends on who is in the audience. The show suits people who want to talk, respond and take part, since anyone seated in the room may end up becoming part of the punchline.

The show takes place at The Comedy Bar, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows.
