DeRay Davis

A stand-up comedy show by DeRay Davis, presented at The Wilbur in Boston, a venue that hosts concerts and shows throughout the year.

DeRay Davis brings stand-up comedy to The Wilbur in Boston. In this genre, one comic speaks directly to the audience, so the evening rests on the performer's timing, storytelling and rapport with the room.

The Wilbur hosts concerts and shows in Boston, and this evening adds stand-up comedy to that calendar. The format suits audiences who enjoy spoken humor, with DeRay Davis as the performer.

Stand-up is a live, spoken form. Because each performance depends on how the room responds, the evening becomes a direct exchange between comic and audience. Stand-up rewards attentive listening, since each story builds toward a punchline.
