DOPETHRONE w/ Conjurer

A Las Vegas concert at The Usual Place featuring Dopethrone, a sludge metal trio from Montréal, with Conjurer and Armed for Apocalypse also on the bill. The show brings together three acts on one night.

Dopethrone is a sludge metal trio from Montréal, active since 2008. Their music combines the bleakness of black metal with the heavy, slow grind of New Orleans-style sludge, approached with a do-it-yourself attitude. Addiction, misanthropy and a bottom-feeder blues shape the mood of their work, which the band calls Slutch.

Their breakthrough album, Dark Foil, came out in 2011 and drew the attention of Voivod, which led to an invitation to play Roadburn Festival in 2012. Europe has been a second home for the band since then. They have also performed across the globe, including at Maryland Doom Fest and Hellfest. Their sixth album, Broke Sabbath, was released in 2024 on Totem Cat Records after six years without new studio recordings, and it contains seven tracks.

The Usual Place hosts concerts and shows in Las Vegas. Conjurer and Armed for Apocalypse complete the bill, and the band's own description pitches the music at listeners drawn to harsh, heavy and bleak sounds.
