Overview

Drunk Christmas Carol is a stand-up and comedy show at Drunk Shakespeare Chicago, a boozy reworking of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol with a holiday twist.

Drunk Christmas Carol is a comedy show that turns Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol into a rowdy holiday story. A miser named Scrooge is visited by three ghosts and must face a festive reckoning, with the retelling kept unruly and chaotic.

One actor takes five shots of whiskey before taking on Dickens. The performance follows the ghosts as they visit the miser, and the audience watches to see whether Scrooge changes his ways. The comedy is sharp, and the seasonal mischief runs throughout.

The show is staged at Drunk Shakespeare Chicago, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. It suits those who enjoy irreverent comedy and a fresh spin on a familiar Victorian story.
