Overview

A comedy show that reimagines Treasure Island as a rum-fueled voyage, presented by Drunk Pirates at The Sage Theater in Washington, D.C.

Drunk Pirates is a comedy show that sends the story of Treasure Island off course. Set aboard the Hispaniola, it follows Jim Hawkins, who chases the gold, and Long John Silver, who schemes along the way. The production is performed in English and built around one lead actor who drinks rum on stage.

Expect slurred monologues, sword fights, and alliances that fall apart as the voyage goes on. Plank-side panic adds to the disorder, while the hunt for treasure remains the thread of the evening. The show is a stand-up and comedy piece, so the humor rests on one performer's delivery.

The production is staged at The Sage Theater, a venue in Washington, D.C. that hosts shows and is ADA-compliant.
