Emo Night Karaoke is an act working across pop, rock and indie. Its title names the format: a karaoke night built around emo songs. Emo grew out of the American hardcore punk scene in the 1980s, and its songs are typically emotional, guitar-driven rock.

The show takes place at Middle East Downstairs, which hosts concerts and shows in Cambridge. It suits anyone who enjoys pop, rock and indie music and wants to sing along with emo favorites.

Because the evening is organized around a single style, the program gives a clear focus: singing the songs of one genre, rather than a mix of unrelated acts.
