Flamencodanza

Flamencodanza is a world music act presented at Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago. The evening draws on the flamenco tradition and its connection to dance.

Flamencodanza is a world music project whose name joins flamenco, the Andalusian art of song, guitar and dance, with danza, the Spanish word for dance. Flamenco originates in Andalusia, in southern Spain, and UNESCO added it to its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010. The name places the act within that tradition, a form built on guitar, song and footwork.

The performance takes place at Epiphany Center for the Arts, whose Sanctuary hosts concerts and shows in Chicago. Listeners who follow world music and audiences interested in live dance will find the act's genre at the center of the evening.
