gateway three is an electronic music evening in Washington, D.C., with bu2xg and znl as the artists on the bill. Electronic music is built on synthesizers, drum machines, samplers and computer-based production, placing rhythm, texture and sound design at the center rather than traditional band instruments.

The pairing of bu2xg and znl places two acts from the same genre side by side in one evening. Electronic music is performed on stages of many kinds, from club rooms to concert halls, and the same tools can be used in very different ways.

The bill is for listeners drawn to production-led music, with two electronic acts sharing one evening in the city.
