Overview
An electronic night in Los Angeles featuring Cassy, Map.ache, Konstantin, Tau Car and Sece, with the Berlin-based Giegling label and collective as its common thread.
Giegling in LA is an electronic night built around Giegling, the Berlin-based label and collective. The bill lists Cassy, Map.ache, Konstantin, Tau Car and Sece, and Konstantin is the one act on it with a folk background.
Konstantin is a Bulgarian singer performing tchalga and traditional Bulgarian music. Born in Sofia in 1976, Konstantin has been active since 1999 and is signed to the Payner label. Tchalga, a style of Bulgarian popular music, sits in a different register from the club sets around it, so the bill places two distinct traditions side by side.
The night suits listeners who follow the Giegling roster and electronic music in Los Angeles, as well as anyone curious to hear Bulgarian tchalga alongside club music. Cassy, Map.ache, Tau Car and Sece make up the electronic side of the bill.
