Imminence

Imminence, Dying Wish and Gaerea share a hard rock and metal bill at The Fillmore Silver Spring, combining a Swedish metalcore band with an American metalcore act and a Portuguese post-black metal group.

Imminence is a Swedish metalcore band from Trelleborg, formed in 2010. Its first album, I, was released in 2014, four years after the band's formation. Dying Wish is an American metalcore band formed in Portland in 2016, and its first album, Fragments of a Bitter Memory, came out in 2021. Gaerea is a Portuguese post-black metal band formed in 2016, whose first album, Unsettling Whispers, was released in 2018.

The bill brings together three acts from different corners of heavy guitar music. Imminence and Dying Wish both work within metalcore, while Gaerea's post-black metal sits on a separate branch of the genre, so the evening pairs two related styles with a more distinct one.

The Fillmore Silver Spring is a concert and show venue in Silver Spring. The lineup suits listeners who follow metalcore, post-black metal, or both, and anyone interested in how these three bands approach heavy music from their own scenes in Sweden, the United States and Portugal.
