Mannheim Steamroller Christmas

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas is a holiday concert by the Mannheim Steamroller project, staged at the Pasadena Civic in Pasadena. The program draws on the Christmas music of an act built on classical forms and electronic sound.

Mannheim Steamroller is a music project founded by Chip Davis in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1974. Its name refers to the Mannheim crescendo, a dynamic effect associated with the 18th-century court orchestra in Mannheim. The group blends classical forms with synthesizers and rock-influenced arrangements. Its Christmas recordings, beginning with the 1984 album Christmas, are among its best-known work and give this program its name.

The show is built around the seasonal repertoire the project has developed over several decades, presented in its own arrangements of holiday music. It suits listeners who enjoy Christmas music arranged across classical and contemporary styles.

The Pasadena Civic hosts concerts and shows in Pasadena, and this holiday program takes place there.
