Marie Davidson is a Canadian musician from Montreal, active since 2007 and signed to the label Ninja Tune. The debut album, Perte d'identité, was released in 2014, and the electronic genre is the foundation of this act's music.

Substation, the Seattle venue hosting the concert, programs both concerts and shows, so the evening sits within the city's regular live music offerings. The night centers on electronic music performed live by an artist with close to two decades of recordings and performances behind them.
