Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz

A jazz-oriented night in Miami built around Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz project, with Nutritious also on the bill at ZeyZey.

Mark Farina is a DJ and producer from Chicago, linked to the Mushroom Jazz mix series, which draws on jazz samples layered over house and downtempo rhythms. The project's mixes are built on the idea of pairing jazz recordings with club grooves, so the sound sits between dance floor house music and the warmer textures of jazz records. The title places this show within that catalog rather than in a traditional jazz band format.

Nutritious also appears on the bill, and the night is presented under the jazz heading, anchored in the Mushroom Jazz sound. Listeners who follow DJ-led jazz and house crossovers will find the program's connection to sample-based production a clear point of reference when deciding whether the night fits their taste.

ZeyZey is a Miami venue that hosts concerts and shows, and this event is one of the cultural outings on its calendar. For anyone who knows the Mushroom Jazz mixes, the evening offers a chance to hear that repertoire on a Miami stage, with the emphasis on DJ-driven music rather than a conventional jazz combo.
