Premo Rice

A Chicago concert by Premo Rice at Bottom Lounge, a live show drawing on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae.

Premo Rice performs a sound built on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae. Each of these traditions has its own history, and the project draws on several of them at once, so the music connects Black American popular styles with Jamaican reggae.

This concert suits listeners who follow any of these styles, whether they come for soul and funk or for gospel and reggae.

Bottom Lounge hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, and this evening places Premo Rice on its stage. Because the venue's programming is built around live performance, the night is aimed at audiences who want to hear this blend of genres performed in person rather than on recordings.
