Q101 Twisted With Slightly Stoopid & Dirty Heads

A Chicago concert bill that pairs the reggae-rock bands Slightly Stoopid and Dirty Heads with One for the Ditch and the Q101 Twisted series, presented at the Aragon Ballroom.

Slightly Stoopid is a reggae and rock band from San Diego, formed in the 1990s and fronted by Miles Doleac. Its sound mixes reggae with ska, funk and rock, and it has built its following through touring rather than through a single chart hit. Dirty Heads, from Huntington Beach, California, blend reggae rhythms with hip hop and rock. Their 2008 album Any Port in a Storm is among their best-known releases. Both acts share a West Coast reggae-rock lineage that draws on the same Southern California scene.

The bill also lists One for the Ditch and the Q101 Twisted lineup, including Q101 Twisted Xmas, alongside the two headliners. The Q101 Twisted name points to a series of shows presented under one banner rather than a single act.

The Aragon Ballroom is a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. The night suits listeners who follow reggae-rock, ska-influenced rock and hip hop-leaning West Coast bands, and anyone interested in a multi-act bill.
