R&B ONLY LIVE - Chicago, IL

R&B ONLY LIVE is a concert in Chicago, Illinois, at House of Blues Chicago, with a program spanning R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae.

R&B ONLY LIVE gathers R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae under one concert title, with R&B ONLY and Only Live named as the acts behind the show. These styles share roots and rhythms: soul and R&B grew partly out of gospel singing, funk built its groove on tight rhythm sections, and reggae adds a looser, off-beat pulse. Listeners who follow any of these genres will recognize common ground across the evening.

The concert is staged at House of Blues Chicago, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in Chicago. It suits anyone who wants several genres from Black American and Jamaican traditions on one bill. Those who prefer a single-style show may find the range of styles the main point of the evening.
