RaiNao

RaiNao is a concert in Philadelphia at The Foundry, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city. The music draws on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae.

RaiNao brings together R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae. Each of these styles has its own lineage: R&B and soul grew out of Black American vocal traditions, funk built its rhythms on tight bass and guitar grooves, gospel developed from church music, and reggae comes from Jamaica. Placing them side by side makes this bill a fit for listeners who follow more than one of these traditions.

The Foundry is the venue for this concert. It is a Philadelphia space that hosts concerts and shows, and the evening is presented there under the RaiNao name.

The night suits anyone curious about how these genres connect, whether they come for the R&B and soul roots or for the gospel and reggae influences.
