Rocky Whorer

A concert titled Rocky Whorer, with Piscesprince, at Eagle NYC in New York, drawing on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae.

Rocky Whorer is a concert by Piscesprince, whose music combines R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae. Gospel grew out of the Black church in America, and reggae out of Jamaica, so the evening links two Black musical traditions, American and Caribbean. Each genre has its own history, from the vocal style of gospel to the offbeat guitar rhythm of reggae.

Eagle NYC hosts concerts and shows in New York, and this performance is part of that program.

The concert suits listeners who follow contemporary R&B, soul and funk, as well as those interested in how gospel and reggae shape them, and those who want to hear how these genres overlap in a single evening.
