Spanish Love Songs The Cost of Living Tour

Spanish Love Songs headline this bill at Songbyrd in Washington, D.C., with Future Teens and Max Stern also on the lineup. The band plays pop rock, pop-punk and emo pop.

Spanish Love Songs is an American rock band that has been active since 2014. Its first album, Giant Sings the Blues, appeared in 2015, and later releases include Schmaltz (2018), Brave Faces Everyone (2020) and No Joy (2023). The group has toured alongside The Wonder Years, Alkaline Trio and Hot Mulligan.

Its fourth LP, FUTURE NAUSEA, comes from the five-member act on the Pure Noise label. The record was produced by Chris Walla, of Death Cab for Cutie, and Sarah Tudzin, of Illuminati Hotties, and blends heartland rock scale with synthesizers, ringing guitars and sweeping choruses. Dylan Slocum writes the lyrics, which address political violence, climate anxiety and the strain of everyday life, while also returning to love and shared resilience.

Songbyrd hosts concerts and shows in Washington. This evening pairs Spanish Love Songs with Future Teens and Max Stern, placing the headliner's recent material alongside two other acts on the same bill.
