Starbenders - The Beast Goes On Tour

Starbenders, an American band blending glam rock and alternative rock, brings its album The Beast Goes On to Songbyrd in Washington, with local riot grrrl punk band Cherub Tree on the bill.

Starbenders is an American rock band whose music draws on glam rock and alternative rock. The group formed in 2013 and released its first album, Heavy Petting, in 2016. Singer Kimi Shelter fronts the act, which has toured widely and is now presenting its newer record, The Beast Goes On, in Washington.

On stage, the band's punk-inspired rock and roll is built on ripping bass lines and a high-energy presence. The sound is driven by vivid musicality and a strong visual style, placing the music at the center of the performance.

Cherub Tree, a Washington riot grrrl punk band, is the support act. A special guest is also on the bill, to be announced. Songbyrd is a Washington venue that hosts concerts and shows, and the bill suits listeners who follow glam-leaning and punk-rooted rock.
