Sunshine Benzi is a hip-hop artist from Pontiac, Illinois. Before committing to music, the artist wrote poetry and kept journals of thoughts and affirmations, many of which later became the lyrics on the current releases. Inspired early by female rappers such as Foxy Brown, along with Janis Joplin and Lauryn Hill, Sunshine Benzi has been developing the music for about four years, mixing sharp wordplay with a playful, commanding delivery.

The breakthrough came with "Trump The Bill," written while working at a dispensary in the hometown. The song spread quickly on TikTok, drew an early endorsement from Charli xcx, and was followed by a remix with Trim and a brand partnership with Coach. The artist has been nicknamed "Chicago's Miss Galliano" and is building a distinct identity in rap.

The Miss Bellum Tour stops at Songbyrd, a venue in Washington that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow Sunshine Benzi's songs, which have been widely shared as anthems on social media.
