Overview
The War and Treaty is an American husband-and-wife duo made up of singer-songwriters Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter. The act works in blues, country and folk, and its first album, Healing Tide, was released in 2018 on Rounder Records. Both members are singer-songwriters, so the duo's material is built on two songwriting voices.
The bill also names Blank Page and Jordan Babbs. The Fillmore Silver Spring hosts concerts and shows in Silver Spring, and this evening places the duo's blues, country and folk songs on that stage. Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter form the core of the project, so their husband-and-wife partnership is the central point of the evening.
The program suits listeners who follow American roots music, with the duo's catalog as the reference point for the night's blues, country and folk repertoire.
