Wheeler Walker Jr.

A concert by Wheeler Walker Jr., an act whose music draws on blues, country and folk, at Joe's Live Rosemont in the suburb of Rosemont, northwest of Chicago.

Wheeler Walker Jr. is an artist whose music draws on blues, country and folk. The songs pair the storytelling and plain-spoken phrasing of those traditions with crude, comic lyrics, which sets the project apart from more conventional country. Humor sits at the center of the writing, so listeners who follow the older forms will hear a deliberately irreverent take on them.

Joe's Live Rosemont hosts concerts and shows in Rosemont, a village near O'Hare International Airport. The venue suits listeners who follow blues, country and folk, and anyone curious about comic songwriting within those genres. Its location makes it reachable for visitors arriving at O'Hare, which is useful for out-of-town fans planning a visit to Chicago.
