Whitey Morgan & the 78s

Whitey Morgan & the 78s is a country, blues and folk act led by Whitey Morgan, performing at 24 Oxford in Las Vegas. The concert is a live show by the band in a concert and performance venue.

Whitey Morgan & the 78s pairs the songwriting of Whitey Morgan with the band the 78s, and the project draws on country, blues and folk. Whitey Morgan is the frontman and the name the act is built around, while the 78s are the group that plays alongside them. Their music sits within the honky-tonk and outlaw country tradition, with folk and blues roots running through the material.

24 Oxford is a concert and performance venue in Las Vegas, so the evening takes place on a stage built for live music rather than a theater production. The night suits listeners who follow country and roots music, along with anyone interested in Americana songwriting that moves between the genres of country, blues and folk.

Whitey Morgan & the 78s is one of the few bands in the roots scene to combine these three styles under a single name, and the performance gives a direct view of how the band's sound translates to the stage in Las Vegas on this visit.
