About — The artist
La Sécurité is a Canadian dance-punk group from Montreal, Quebec. Its debut album, Stay Safe!, was released in 2023.
The band consists of vocalist Éliane Viens-Synnott, guitarists Melissa Di Menna and Laurence-Anne Charest-Gagné, bassist Félix Bélisle (Choses Sauvages) and Kenny Smith. Launched in 2020 as a side project during the COVID-19 lockdowns, it came about because its members were unable to play with their main bands.
Stay Safe! was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize 2024. In 2024, the group toured the United States as support act for Go! Team.
