About — The artist

Sublime is an American rock band from Long Beach, California, active from 1988 until the overdose death of its guitarist and singer Bradley Nowell in May 1996, before the release of the album Sublime, which went on to enjoy major international success. The band's blend of musical genres (such as reggae, ska, hip-hop, dub and punk rock), the humour and offbeat quality of its lyrics, and the whimsy of its cover versions make it one of the most influential groups on the Californian scene of the 1990s.

The group reformed in 2009 under the name Sublime with Rome (en).
