Yandel

Llandel Veguilla Malavé (Cayey, 14 January 1977), known artistically as Yandel or Yandel Sinfónico, is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and record producer.

He is also known for having been part of the duo Wisin & Yandel.

He released his first solo album, Quién contra mí, in 2003 and ten years later, in 2013, he released his second studio album, De líder a leyenda, which included singles such as «Hasta abajo», «Plákito» and «Moviendo caderas» with Daddy Yankee, which was certified gold by the RIAA in 2014. In 2013 he was a coach, alongside Wisin, on the third series of the reality show La Voz México.

In 2014 he released an EP called Legacy: De líder a leyenda tour (EP). In November 2015 he released his fourth studio album, Dangerous. Two years later, in September 2017, he released his fifth record, Update, which was issued under the Sony Music Latin label.

At the end of March 2019 he premiered his sixth record, entitled The One, under the same record label as his previous releases. In January 2023 he released Resistencia, his seventh album, from which the single «Yandel 150», in collaboration with Feid, was taken, and with which he entered the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time.

In 2024 the artist received recognition from the Premios American Music for being a pioneer of the reggaeton genre.

That same year the artist sold his catalogue to the Korean company Beyond Music.
