Charo López

A moving recital in which the actress Charo López performs texts by Rosalía de Castro or Juana Inés de la Cruz

Poesía de Mujer is a recital in which Charo López performs texts by Gloria Fuertes, Gabriela Mistral, Rosalía de Castro, Alfonsina Storni, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Carolina Coronado, Emilia Pardo Bazán and Santa Teresa de Jesús, writers who have marked her life's journey. On stage the actress is accompanied at the piano by Víctor Carbajo, alternating with the marvellous voice of baritone Luis Santana, which thus completes a moving emotional journey.

This project is the culmination of a personal wish of Charo López to perform a selection of texts that have no common denominator, but which highlight the expression of feelings shared between the authors and the performer, from the female perspective that has rarely been valued.

They and their work are an extremely important testimonial source that allows us to learn first-hand about the vicissitudes of their time, not only from the artistic and intellectual perspective but also from the female perspective that has rarely been valued.

Without them, history is not complete.
