Following Un monstruo viene a verme and Invisible, José Luis Arellano directs the adaptation by Lolita Chakrabarti of Yann Martel's celebrated novel. La vida de Pi was a runaway success in the West End and on Broadway, winning 5 Olivier Awards and 3 Tony Awards, including the award for best revelation play. The play brings us a beautiful story about human resilience, spirituality, the power of imagination and the fine line that separates reality from myth.

Synopsis

After the tragic shipwreck of a vessel in the Pacific Ocean, Pi Patel, a sixteen-year-old Indian boy and the son of a zoo keeper, finds himself in a lifeboat in the middle of nowhere. He is not alone. He is accompanied by four animals that survived the shipwreck, among them Richard Parker, an imposing Bengal tiger. Over time, with hunger and nature against them, both must learn to trust each other if they are to survive. La vida de Pi is a journey of faith and survival but, above all, a psychological struggle for coexistence between the young man and the beast.
