Overview
A release party for Amazonicodelica, the new release by Imperio Bamba, at El Comandante in London, with Combo Maleza joining the bill. The gig is a world music night built around cumbia and chicha.
Imperio Bamba mark the release of Amazonicodelica at El Comandante, the London venue where the project began eleven years ago. Imperio Bamba and Ritmo del Barrio return there to launch the new release, and the evening is framed as a homecoming to those roots.
Combo Maleza join the bill with live music, and the programme is built on rebel rhythms and rebel chicha, with cumbia at the centre of the night. The night is for friends gathering to celebrate the release together.
El Comandante is a London venue that hosts concerts, and this release party sits within the Latin tropical strand of world music. The night brings the new release full circle, closing the loop between the project's start and its latest work.
