Overview
In the Round: L'Rain is a concert at the ICA London featuring L'Rain, a pop, rock and indie project, with Vanessa Bedoret also on the bill.
L'Rain is the project of Taura Stinson, based in Brooklyn, New York. It has released its records on the Mexican Summer label, including the album Fatigue in 2019 and Copper in 2021. The music combines pop songwriting with rock and indie textures, built around layered guitars and slow-building arrangements. The title In the Round points to the format of this evening, which places the artists at the centre of the room rather than on a conventional stage.
Vanessa Bedoret is also on the bill, and this is a chance to hear both acts in one evening at the ICA London. The ICA, on The Mall in Westminster, is an arts centre that presents film, exhibitions, performance and live music, so the night suits listeners who follow independent pop and rock and are interested in a more intimate, contemporary programme.
