Overview
Lawrence Chaney, the Scottish drag performer, brings a new solo stand-up show to Bush Hall in west London. The comedy takes a frank look at weight loss, dating and current affairs.
Weight A Minute is a brand-new solo stand-up show by Lawrence Chaney, who performs as a Scottish drag performer. Rather than trading jokes at other people's expense, the material turns the comic lens onto the performer's own experiences, with a sharp, direct wit and very little filter.
The subjects are weight loss, dating and current affairs, and each is treated with candour and humour. As a stand-up comedy show performed by a single performer, the evening is built around Chaney's delivery and observations rather than any other cast or staging.
The show is presented at Bush Hall, a concert venue on Uxbridge Road in west London. It will appeal to audiences who enjoy frank, topical comedy from a drag performer with a sharp, unsentimental edge.
