Luke Rollason: Alas! (WIP)

Luke Rollason: Alas! (WIP) is a stand-up and comedy show in development, staged at The Bill Murray in London. The performer is described by the Guardian as a standard-bearer of UK clown.

This work-in-progress stand-up show follows a misguided quest towards the light at the end of a tunnel, combining absurd physical antics with apocalyptic visions. Luke Rollason, a BAFTA winner whom the Guardian has described as a standard-bearer of UK clown, continues to refine the material on stage in front of audiences.

Reviewers have responded warmly to the performance. The Telegraph called it utterly delightful, the Daily Mail described it as delightfully daft, and The List and Chortle each awarded four stars, with The List calling it gut-bustingly funny. ThreeWeeks wrote that it had the room howling all night.

The show was named Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2026. It is presented at The Bill Murray, a London venue that hosts a range of shows, and suits those who enjoy physical comedy and clowning-inflected storytelling in a stand-up format.
