Matisse: Joy is a show presented at Lightroom, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows. Its title places it under the name of Henri Matisse, the French painter whose work is associated with bold colour and cut-paper forms.

Lightroom programmes a range of live performance, and this production sits within that mix of concerts and shows. The title is the main indication of its subject, so the show will appeal most to those drawn to Matisse's art and to the theme of joy that the title names.

Anyone choosing an evening out in the capital who wants a live programme built around a major modern painter will find the title a clear guide to what the show is about.
