Nubiyan Twist presents: NT Soundsystem

A late-night club performance by the UK afro-jazz collective Nubiyan Twist, presented as a reworking of their back catalogue, at The Jazz Cafe in London.

Nubiyan Twist are a UK afro-jazz group, and this night at The Jazz Cafe presents them in a different format from their usual one: the material is their back catalogue, remixed for a late-night performance. The event is described as a club-focused, three-piece live show, with horn, vocal and percussion sections and a rhythmic emphasis aimed at the dancefloor. The source material places afro, soul and jazz influences at the core of the sound.

The organisers also say that some guest performers will open the evening, though their names are not given in the material, so no details can be offered about them. The listing is aimed at people who want a dance-oriented evening built on Nubiyan Twist's catalogue rather than a conventional concert set.

The Jazz Cafe is a London venue that hosts concerts and shows, and the event is presented there as part of its late-night programme.
