Overview
Will Sir Be Laughing Alone? is a stand-up comedy show built around Paddy Young's romantic misadventures. Its title poses a question about the stretch of life between starting out and ending up alone, and the material takes a wry look at repeated falls in love and the lessons that were, or were not, learnt. Young is an award-winning stand-up who has also appeared on Saturday Night Live UK, Mitchell & Webb Are Not Helping and Everyone Else Burns, and who made the stand-up special Hungry. Horny. Scared.
The tour brings a brand-new set to the stage, with Young performing alone as the stand-up. Press quotes describe the show as high-energy, quick-witted and bursting with jokes. Rolling Stone judged Young to be on the road to stardom, The Independent placed the performer among the most interesting new voices in British comedy, and Chortle called the act wildly funny.
The show is staged at Glee Club, a Birmingham venue that hosts concerts and shows. It is presented by Berk's Nest with PARKAS at ITG, and it will appeal to audiences who follow Young's television work or enjoy stand-up about dating.
