Tartuffe - Remixed

A stand-up and comedy production in London at the Marylebone Theatre, adapting Molière's Tartuffe into a new version that mixes comedy, spoken word and music.

This new adaptation of Molière's Tartuffe is set in the Afolabi-Williams family home, where relatives gather as preparations for a wedding get under way. The arrival of Tartuffe, a charismatic man of God and a close friend of the family patriarch, unsettles long-standing trust and forces the household to confront a painful truth before the big day.

The production combines sharp comedy with spoken word, music and rhyming verse. Its material centres on family, faith, forgiveness and speaking out against authority, and it is presented as a new adaptation rather than a revival of an existing staging. The running time and staging details are not specified in the listing.

The show is staged at the Marylebone Theatre, a London venue whose programme includes concerts and shows. It will appeal to audiences interested in contemporary comic adaptations of classic theatre and in work that blends genres.
