Abba Voyage

A concert in which digital avatars of the Swedish pop group ABBA perform hit songs, accompanied by a ten-piece live band, at the purpose-built ABBA Arena in London.

ABBA Voyage presents avatars of ABBA, the Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972. The avatars are made using motion capture technology, so the show blends physical and digital performance. On stage, they are accompanied by a live band of ten musicians, and the setlist consists of the group's hit songs.

The concert takes place in the ABBA Arena, a venue built for this production on Pudding Mill Lane in east London. It is aimed at audiences who want to hear the group's best-known music performed live in a new format, and it is not a conventional tribute act, since the avatars represent the original group rather than other performers.

The production is described by its makers as a way of seeing ABBA perform on stage, something the group has not done in person in concert, using the latest in motion capture technology.
